World Bank Opens portal for the Application of Emerging African Scholars


Hi guys, welcome to the blog abujarock.blogspot.com, do you know that the application for the World Bank Fellowship Program is opened for the Emerging African Scholars?

The initiative of the Emerging African Scholars and Africa's Region Leadership confirmed the applications that is supported by The World Bank Group (WBG). That this year program invites qualified Ph.D. candidates and Doctoral graduates from Sub-Saharan Africa to apply for the competitive opportunity. Also they specially emphasized,  encouraging women to participate as part of the World Bank’s commitment supporting gender equality and inclusive development.

The initiatives of the African Scholars Fellowship Program is aims to cultivate the next generation of African leaders by researching, developing, and investing a policy formulation, for the qualified participant from across the continent, the program aligns with the  The World Bank Group's overarching mission to reduce poverty and foster shared prosperity in developing countries.

The Program Overview is designed for the promising African scholars who are either in the final stages of their Ph.D. studies or have completed their doctorate within the last three years. Eligible applicants must be nationals of Sub-Saharan African countries.


The initiatives also confirmed the program that every qualified applicant shall under six months internship with the World Bank Group. That the qualified applicant placements will be at the WBG headquarters in Washington, D.C., and within the organization’s country offices.
